Been loving my new fat tire eBike, a Mongoose Malus, for exploring some local sandy trails and even just cruising through town. It's amazing how much ground I can cover, especially with the pedal assist kicking in on those uphill sections. I've been curious about the tech behind these beasts – specifically, how do the different motor types (hub vs. mid-drive) really compare for fat tire bikes, especially when you're dealing with varied terrain like sand or snow? What's everyone's experience, and what tech features do you find most crucial for a fat tire setup?
