Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

Been thinking a lot about the legal side of our eBikes lately, especially with all the cool DIY mods people are doing. I've got a custom-built fat tire eMTB that I mostly ride on trails and some back roads, and I'm always wondering where the line is drawn. What are your experiences with local regulations, especially when it comes to motor wattage or throttle vs. pedal assist for modified bikes? Are you finding enforcement varies a lot depending on where you ride?
