Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone,

I've been thinking a lot lately about the legal landscape for eBikes, and it seems like a bit of a wild west out there depending on where you live. I've got a Class 3 commuter eBike and mostly stick to paved trails and roads, but I'm always a little unsure about the rules when I venture into new areas or state parks.

Does anyone else find the varying regulations for different eBike classes (Class 1, 2, 3) and local ordinances super confusing? What's your experience been with this, especially if you travel with your eBike? Any horror stories or surprisingly clear guidelines you've encountered?
