Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

I've been loving my new cargo eBike (a Tern GSD, if anyone's curious!) for school runs and grocery hauls, and it's really replaced a lot of car trips. It got me thinking about legal stuff, especially since these bikes can be pretty substantial. Does anyone have experience or insights into how different states or even cities classify cargo eBikes, particularly regarding motor wattage limits or speed restrictions? I'm curious if the extra weight capacity changes anything in the eyes of the law compared to a regular eMTB.
