eBike vs traditional bike comparison

Been lurking here for a bit and finally decided to jump in. I've been eyeing cargo eBikes lately, specifically for grocery runs and hauling my kid around, and it's got me thinking about the whole eBike vs. traditional bike debate in this specific category. For those of you who've made the switch or even considered it, how does a cargo eBike really compare to a traditional cargo bike for everyday tasks like a hilly commute with a full load, or just a quick trip to the park? I'm curious if the assist fundamentally changes the utility or if it's just a nice-to-have. What are your experiences?
