I've been looking at some awesome eBikes online, especially some of the more powerful Class 3 models and even a few DIY builds, and it got me thinking about the legal side of things. With so many different types of eBikes out there now, and varying regulations by state or even city, it feels like a bit of a minefield.

For those of you who've bought or sold eBikes, especially across state lines or through online marketplaces, how do you navigate the legal regulations? Are there specific things you always check or disclose, like motor wattage or top speed, to ensure compliance for the buyer? I'd love to hear your experiences and any tips!
