Been loving my fat tire eBike (a RadRover 6 Plus, if anyone's curious!) for exploring some of the local sandy trails and even just commuting over rougher pavement. It got me thinking about the tech behind these beasts. Specifically, with the wider tires and often heavier frames, how does the motor and battery system get optimized to handle that extra rolling resistance and weight, especially when climbing? Are there specific motor types or battery chemistries that are better suited for fat tire applications, or is it more about the controller tuning?
