Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

Just got back from a fantastic ride on my Specialized Turbo Vado SL – clocked about 30 miles on some mixed bike paths and roads, and it was a blast as always. It got me thinking, though, about all the different legal regulations out there for eBikes, especially with how varied they seem to be from state to state or even country to country. What are your experiences with local eBike laws, particularly for Class 1 or 3 bikes like many of the Turbos? Have you run into any confusion or gotten stopped for something unexpected?
