I've been diving deeper into custom eBike builds lately, and it's got me thinking a lot about the nitty-gritty tech behind it all. Specifically, for those of you who've built your own mid-drive or hub motor setups, how much do you really get into the controller programming and sensor tech? I'm curious if most custom builders just stick with default settings, or if you're really tweaking things like torque sensing vs. cadence, or even diving into motor winding details for specific terrain like steep trail climbing. What's your experience been with truly understanding and optimizing the "eBike technology" in your custom creations?
