New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

I've been lurking for a bit and finally decided to jump in. I'm totally new to the eBike world and feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options out there. I'm looking to get into commuting (about 10 miles each way, mostly paved roads with a few gentle hills) and maybe some light weekend trail riding. What are some of the absolute must-knows for a beginner, and what kind of eBike would you recommend I even start looking at? Any advice on brands, motor types, or even just general tips would be amazing!
