Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

Just got back from a fantastic 30-mile ride on my Class 1 eMTB through some local trails and then on the road, and it got me thinking. It seems like the rules for where we can ride our eBikes, and even what defines an eBike, vary wildly depending on the state or even local municipality. Has anyone else found this super confusing, especially when planning a trip or just trying to stay compliant? What's your experience been with navigating these legal waters?
