eBike vs traditional bike comparison

Hey everyone!

Been thinking a lot lately about the utility of cargo eBikes versus traditional cargo bikes, especially for city living. I've got a traditional longtail cargo bike (Surly Big Dummy) and it's fantastic for big grocery runs or hauling kids, but those hills on the way home can be a real grind, even with lighter loads.

For those of you who've made the switch or even just tried both, how does a cargo eBike truly compare for daily errands and heavier loads over varied terrain? Is the motor assist a game-changer for consistency and comfort, or do you find a traditional cargo bike still has its place for certain tasks? Curious to hear your experiences!
