New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

Just joined the forum – super excited to finally dive into the eBike world. I'm looking to buy my first eBike soon, mostly for commuting about 10 miles each way on paved roads, with the occasional weekend trail ride on some light gravel paths. I've been doing a ton of research, and honestly, the sheer number of brands out there is a bit overwhelming! For those of you who've been around the block, what brands do you recommend checking out first for a reliable, entry-to-mid-level commuter/light-trail eBike, and why? I'm curious about your experiences with different manufacturers regarding build quality, customer service, and overall value.
