Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

Just got back from a fantastic 20-mile ride on my Class 1 hardtail eMTB through some local trails and paved paths, and it got me thinking. I'm pretty sure I'm good with the Class 1 rules around here, but it seems like every state and even local municipality has different regulations on where we can ride, what classes are allowed, and even speed limits. What's been your experience navigating the legal landscape for eBikes, especially if you travel with your bike? Any horror stories or surprisingly eBike-friendly places you've found?
