eBike vs traditional bike comparison

Hey everyone!

Been thinking a lot lately about cargo bikes, specifically the e-cargo vs. traditional cargo bike debate. I've been eyeing a longtail e-cargo bike, like a Tern GSD, for school runs and grocery hauls, which is about 5 miles each way with a few decent hills.

For those of you who've made the switch or even considered it, what's your take? Did the motor make a huge difference in your willingness to use it for bigger loads or longer distances compared to a non-electric cargo bike? I'm curious if the added cost and weight of an e-cargo is truly worth it for daily utility over a traditional one.
