eBike vs traditional bike comparison

Hey everyone!

I'm new to this forum and looking to upgrade my ride soon, so I wanted to kick off a discussion. For those of you who've made the switch or even own both, what are your thoughts on eBikes vs. traditional bikes, especially from a "value for money" or "practicality" perspective? I'm currently eyeing a new commuter bike for my 10-mile, slightly hilly round trip to work, and I'm torn between a mid-drive eBike and a really nice traditional road bike. Is the extra cost of an eBike truly justified for daily commuting, or am I better off just getting fitter on a traditional bike? Would love to hear your experiences!
