Engwe Engine Pro: 3-Month Ownership Review

By the Editorial Staff @ ebiking.us | Last Updated: February 2, 2026

After 3 months and 800 miles on the Engwe Engine Pro, here's my detailed review.

Standout Features

Full Suspension: Front and rear suspension handle rough trails surprisingly well for the price point.

Dual Battery Option: The ability to add a second battery for 100+ mile range is a game-changer for long rides.

750W Motor: Plenty of power for steep hills and off-road trails.

Performance

On-Road: Smooth and fast. Hits 28mph

Engwe Engine Pro: 3-Month Ownership Review

After 3 months and 800 miles on the Engwe Engine Pro, here's my detailed review.

Standout Features

Full Suspension: Front and rear suspension handle rough trails surprisingly well for the price point.

Dual Battery Option: The ability to add a second battery for 100+ mile range is a game-changer for long rides.

750W Motor: Plenty of power for steep hills and off-road trails.

Performance

On-Road: Smooth and fast. Hits 28mph easily on flats. Off-Road: Handles moderate trails well. Not for extreme mountain biking, but perfect for fire roads and light trails. Range: 40-50 miles with single battery, 80-100 miles with dual battery setup.

Build Quality

Frame feels solid. Components are entry-level but functional. I upgraded the saddle and pedals after a month.

Value Proposition

At $1,699, this bike competes with $2,500+ models. The full suspension alone justifies the price.

Minor Complaints

  • Stock tires are okay but not great
  • Assembly instructions could be clearer
  • Customer service response time is slow

Bottom Line

If you want full-suspension performance without spending $3,000+, the Engwe Engine Pro delivers incredible value.
