Best eBike for daily commuting?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking to finally make the jump to an eBike for my daily commute and could really use some collective wisdom. My ride is about 10 miles each way, mostly flat city streets with a few small hills, and I'll be carrying a backpack with my laptop. I'm torn between a more traditional commuter style with fenders/rack built-in, or something a bit more agile.

What are your experiences with different eBike types for daily commuting? Any specific models or features you'd highly recommend for this kind of use case? I'm curious about everything from motor placement to battery range and comfort!
