New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

Just joined the forum because I'm seriously considering getting into eBikes, but honestly, I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the options out there. I'm looking to replace some short car trips (5-10 miles round trip) for errands and maybe some light trail riding on weekends. For those of you who've been through this, what's the absolute best advice you can give a newbie on where to even start looking? Should I focus on motor type first, or battery size, or something else entirely? Thanks in advance for any wisdom!
