eBike technology explained

I'm relatively new to the eBike world, having just picked up a Specialized Turbo Levo SL a few months back, and I'm absolutely loving it for hitting the local trails. I'm curious about the tech under the hood, especially with Specialized's custom motors and software. Does anyone have a good resource or can explain in layman's terms how their motor systems (like the 2.2 or SL 1.1/1.2) and the Mission Control app really optimize power delivery and battery life? I'm trying to understand the magic that makes these bikes feel so natural on climbs!
