eBike technology explained

Hey everyone!

I've been browsing a lot of e-bikes lately, trying to figure out my next upgrade, and I keep seeing so many different tech specs – hub motors vs. mid-drives, torque sensors vs. cadence, different battery chemistries. It's awesome how far things have come, but honestly, it can be a bit overwhelming when you're trying to compare models on the marketplace.

I'm curious, what's one piece of e-bike tech that you found really made a difference for your riding experience, maybe something you didn't fully understand until you tried it? For me, I'm trying to decide if a torque sensor is really worth the extra cost for my daily commute (20 miles, mixed city/bike path).
