eBike vs traditional bike comparison

Hey everyone!

Been thinking a lot lately about the differences between custom eBike builds and traditional custom builds. For those of you who've built both, what are your thoughts on the overall experience? I'm particularly curious about the challenges and rewards of integrating an electric system into a frame you've chosen or even fabricated yourself, compared to just focusing on traditional components for a pure analog ride. Does the added complexity of wiring and battery placement outweigh the benefits of a custom e-assist setup for you, especially for trail riding?
