Commuting distance recommendations

Hey everyone!

Just got my new eBike (a pretty sweet Class 1 commuter model) and I'm looking to ditch the car for my daily commute. My office is about 12 miles each way, with a few decent hills thrown in. For those of you who commute regularly, what would you say is the "sweet spot" or maximum comfortable distance you'd recommend for an eBike commute before it starts feeling like a chore rather than a pleasure? I'm curious about battery range concerns and just general comfort over longer distances.
