New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

I've been lurking for a bit and finally decided to jump in. I'm totally new to the eBike world and feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options out there. I'm hoping to get an eMTB for some trail riding (nothing too extreme, mostly green/blue trails) and maybe some longer commutes to work (about 10 miles each way, some hills). For those of you who've been through it, what's the one piece of advice you wish you had when you first started looking, or what was your "aha!" moment that helped you choose? So many brands and motor types, my head is spinning!
