eBike technology explained

Hey everyone! I'm new to the Lectric XP 3.0 scene and absolutely loving it for my daily commute (about 10 miles round trip, mostly flat with a few small inclines). I'm curious about the tech behind these bikes, specifically how the pedal assist levels really work. Does anyone have a good explanation of the differences between, say, PAS 1 and PAS 5 in terms of motor output and how it translates to power? I'm trying to understand the nuances beyond just "more power."
