Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

Just got my new fat tire eBike (loving it so far for bombing around the trails near me!) and it got me thinking about legal stuff. With these bigger tires and often more powerful motors, are there any specific regulations or classifications that apply differently to fat tire eBikes compared to regular eBikes? I'm mostly riding on local multi-use paths and some state park trails, and I want to make sure I'm totally compliant. What's the word in your neck of the woods?
