eBike technology explained

I've been riding my full-suspension eMTB (a Specialized Levo SL, if anyone's curious) on some gnarly local trails lately, and it's got me thinking a lot about the tech that makes these bikes so awesome. Specifically, I'm super curious about the differences in motor types – like hub vs. mid-drive, and even within mid-drives, the nuances between Bosch, Shimano, Brose, etc. What are your thoughts on how these different motor technologies impact the ride feel, especially on technical climbs or descents?
