New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

I'm totally new to the eBike world and feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options out there. I'm looking to get my first eBike, primarily for commuting about 10 miles round trip on mostly paved roads, maybe with some light gravel paths on weekends. What are the absolute must-knows for a beginner, and what kind of eBike (e.g., hybrid, commuter, Class 1/2/3) should I even be looking at first? Any tips on where to start my research would be super helpful!
