Best Engwe model for commuting?

by TrailNicole2 months ago

Looking at Engwe bikes for my 12-mile commute. Considering the Engine Pro vs the X26. The X26 is cheaper but Engine Pro has better components. What would you recommend for daily commuting on mixed terrain?

This is a common question. The key thing to know is: start with lower assist levels to extend your range

I would go with the engine pro if you want to make the round trip on a single charge. I bought an X26 for my wife and wish I had gone with the EP.

Hey there! For a 12-mile commute on mixed terrain, I'd lean towards the Engine Pro. While the X26's dual battery is cool, the Engine Pro's better components (like the suspension and brakes) will likely make a significant difference in comfort and reliability over daily mixed terrain, even if it's a bit more upfront. Plus, the folding aspect of the Pro might be a bonus for storage depending on your situation.
