New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

Just joined the forum and I'm super excited about getting into eBikes. I've been doing some research, but honestly, it's a bit overwhelming with all the options out there! I'm hoping to use an eBike for daily commuting (about 10 miles round trip, mostly flat city streets) and maybe some weekend leisure rides on paved paths. For those of you who've been through this, what was the absolute first thing you considered when you started looking, or what's one piece of advice you wish you had known when you were a newbie? I'm trying to figure out if I should prioritize motor type, battery range, or even just budget right off the bat. Thanks in advance for any insights!
