Best eBike brands overall

Been lurking for a bit and finally decided to jump in and start a discussion. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the "best eBike brands overall," but with a bit of a DIY/modding twist. When you think about brands that offer a great foundation for future upgrades, or perhaps even those that make it easier to source parts for custom builds, who comes to mind?

I'm personally looking at potentially upgrading my current commuter e-MTB (a modified RadRover 6 Plus) next year, and while I love the DIY aspect, I'm wondering which brands build a solid, reliable platform from the get-go that's also friendly for future tweaks – maybe better motor integration, battery options, or just overall component compatibility.

What brands have you found to be the most "mod-friendly" or offer the best bang for buck if you plan to eventually swap out components or customize? Let's hear your experiences!
