New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

I'm totally new to the eBike world and feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options out there. I'm looking to get my first eBike, primarily for commuting about 10 miles each way on mostly paved roads, but with some decent hills involved. I'd also love to do some weekend leisure rides on light gravel paths.

What kind of eBike would you recommend for this mix of uses, and what features should I really be looking out for as a beginner? Any personal experiences or bike models you've loved (or hated!) would be super helpful! Thanks in advance!
