I've been diving deeper into custom eBike builds lately, and it's got me thinking a lot about the nitty-gritty tech behind these machines. Specifically, when you're building from scratch or converting, how do you guys approach understanding and integrating the various components like motor controllers, battery management systems (BMS), and display protocols (UART, CANbus)? It feels like there's a whole world of compatibility and optimization to navigate.
