Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

I've been thinking a lot lately about eBike regulations, especially after a recent long ride through a few different towns on my Class 1 commuter eBike. It seems like the rules for where we can ride, what speed limits apply, and even helmet laws can vary wildly from one jurisdiction to the next, which honestly feels a bit confusing and sometimes even unsafe if you're not absolutely sure. Does anyone else find it tough to keep up with all the different local and state laws? What's been your experience, and do you think clearer, more standardized regulations would make things safer for everyone?
