New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

Just joined the forum and super excited to dive into the eBike world! I've been eyeing them for a while, mostly for commuting a hilly 10-mile round trip and some weekend trail riding on gravel paths. For those of you who've been through it, what's the absolute first thing a newbie should consider when looking to buy their first eBike? I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options out there!
