New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

Just joined the forum and super excited to dive into the eBike world. I'm really leaning towards a fat tire eBike because I live in an area with a lot of sandy trails and I'm also hoping to ride a bit in the snow come winter. For those of you who started with or primarily ride fat tire eBikes, what was the absolute most important thing you looked for when buying your first one? Any specific features or brands you'd recommend for someone looking to tackle varied terrain?
