Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

I've been thinking a lot about eBike regulations lately, especially with more and more people getting into riding. It feels like the rules can be a bit of a patchwork depending on where you are, and sometimes that makes me wonder about safety. For example, if I'm riding my Class 1 eMTB on some multi-use trails, I'm always double-checking if I'm even allowed there.

What are your experiences with local eBike laws, and do you feel they adequately address safety for both riders and pedestrians/other trail users? Have you ever had a close call or confusion because of differing regulations?
