New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

Just joined the forum and super excited to dive into the eBike world. I've been eyeing them for a while and finally ready to pull the trigger, but honestly, I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the options out there. I'm hoping to use one for my 10-mile round trip commute (mostly paved roads, some small hills) and weekend trail rides, maybe 20-30 miles. For those of you who've been through it, what was the absolute most important thing you considered when buying your first eBike, and what advice would you give a total newbie like me?
