Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

I've been scratching my head lately trying to figure out the exact legal regulations for eBikes, especially since I just got a new Class 3 speed pedelec. It feels like every state, and even some cities, have different rules regarding speed limits, motor wattage, and even where you can ride.

Has anyone else run into issues or confusion trying to navigate these laws, particularly when traveling or riding in different jurisdictions? I'm trying to plan a long-distance tour this summer, and I'm genuinely worried about accidentally breaking a rule I didn't even know existed. Any tips or resources for keeping up with this stuff?
