Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

I've been thinking a lot lately about eBike regulations, especially with more and more people getting into riding. I've got a Class 1 eMTB and mostly stick to trails, but sometimes I hit the road for a few miles to connect routes. It got me wondering, how much do you all consider the local laws and regulations when you're out riding, especially concerning things like speed limits on multi-use paths or motor wattage restrictions? I know it varies wildly by state/country, but I'm curious what your personal experiences are with enforcement or just general awareness. Are there any specific rules that surprise you or that you think are particularly important for safety?
