eBike vs traditional bike comparison

I've been thinking a lot lately about the maintenance differences between my old acoustic road bike and my new eMTB. On one hand, the eBike's heavier weight and higher speeds definitely seem to put more stress on components like brake pads and chains, meaning more frequent replacements. But then there's the whole motor and battery aspect – are there specific maintenance routines or common issues with the electronics that traditional bikes just don't have?

What's been your experience? Are eBikes generally more costly or complicated to maintain in the long run, or does it balance out differently than I'm imagining?
