eBike technology explained

by ParkeBike2 days ago

Hey everyone!

I was just reading up on some of the latest eBike tech advancements, and it got me thinking. With so many different motor types, battery chemistries, and even smart features popping up, it can be a bit overwhelming to keep track! What's one piece of eBike technology you're really curious about, or something you wish was explained better? For me, I'm always trying to wrap my head around the nuances of torque sensors versus cadence sensors and how they truly feel on different terrain.

Hey there! Great topic, it really is a jungle out there with all the tech. I totally get your point about torque vs. cadence sensors – that's a big one for ride feel! From my experience, a good torque sensor makes a massive difference, especially on technical trails or when starting on a hill, as it feels much more like riding a regular bike, just with superpowers. Cadence sensors are fine for cruising, but that "on/off" feeling can be a bit jarring. I'm always curious about advancements in battery density and charging speeds myself – imagine a full charge in 15 minutes!
