Best eBike for daily commuting?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking to finally make the jump to an eBike for my daily commute and could really use some collective wisdom. My ride is about 10 miles each way, mostly flat city streets with a few small hills, and I'll be carrying a backpack with my laptop. I'm torn between a traditional commuter style, maybe a hybrid, or even a compact folding one for easier storage.

What are your thoughts on the best eBike style or specific models for a daily grind like this? Any features you'd consider absolutely essential for commuting?
