Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone,

I've been thinking a lot lately about eBike regulations, especially with more people getting into them. It seems like every state, and even some cities, have different rules regarding speed limits, motor wattage, and where you can actually ride. For those of you who commute or ride longer distances on mixed terrain, how do you keep track of what's legal in your area, especially if you cross state lines? I've got a Class 2 commuter eBike, and I'm always a bit paranoid about accidentally breaking a rule. What's been your experience?
