Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

Just got back from an awesome 30-mile ride on my Class 1 eMTB through some local trails, and it got me thinking about something pretty important: eBike regulations. It seems like every state, or even city, has slightly different rules about where we can ride, what motor size is allowed, and what constitutes a "legal" eBike.

Has anyone here had any personal experiences with these regulations, maybe a close call or a confusing situation? I'm particularly curious about how Class 3 bikes are treated in different areas, especially on multi-use paths. What's been your experience navigating the legal landscape for eBikes?
