Battery range for long commutes

Hey everyone!

I'm curious to hear about your experiences with battery range, especially for those of us with longer commutes. I'm currently riding a Class 1 eMTB (specialized for road use, of course!) about 25 miles each way, and I'm finding myself constantly checking the battery level on the return trip, especially with some decent hills.

What kind of range are you all getting on your daily commutes, and what bike/battery setup are you running? Any tips for maximizing range on those longer hauls, or is a second battery just inevitable for some of us? Let's discuss!
