Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

Been thinking a lot lately about the legal side of our eBikes, especially with all the different classes and power outputs out there. I know this isn't strictly "Maintenance & Repair," but understanding the rules can definitely impact what kind of components we choose or even how we maintain our bikes to stay compliant.

My question is, how do you all keep up with the ever-changing eBike laws in your area? I'm particularly interested in how it affects folks with higher-powered Class 3 bikes or even those with custom builds – are you finding it hard to get clear information on where you can legally ride or if certain mods push you into a different category? It feels like a bit of a minefield sometimes!
