New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

Just joined the forum and super excited to dive into the eBike world! I've been eyeing them for a while and I'm finally ready to pull the trigger, but honestly, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm hoping to use one for my 10-mile commute to work (mostly paved paths, some gentle hills) and also for weekend leisure rides on local trails. What are your absolute must-know tips for a newbie, especially regarding choosing a bike type (like a commuter vs. a hybrid) and understanding battery range? Any advice on where to even begin looking would be amazing!
