Legal regulations for eBikes

Hey everyone!

Been thinking a lot lately about how eBike regulations vary so much, and it really ties into safety, especially when you're riding in new areas. I've got a Class 1 commuter eBike, and I mostly stick to bike paths and city streets around here, but I'm planning a trip where I might want to explore some state park trails.

My main question is: how do you all keep up with the specific legal limits (like speed or motor wattage) for different regions or even different types of trails? It feels like a minefield sometimes, and I definitely don't want to accidentally be breaking rules or putting myself or others at risk. Any tips for staying informed and safe out there?
