eBike insurance recommendations

by PedalPusher4 days ago

Hey everyone,

I'm curious if anyone has recommendations for eBike insurance providers? I just picked up a new Specialized Turbo Levo SL, and while I'm loving hitting the trails, the thought of something happening to it (theft, damage, etc.) has me a bit worried. My homeowner's policy has some coverage, but it feels pretty limited, especially for a bike I use so much off-road.

What companies have you all used, and what's been your experience with them regarding coverage and claims? Any specific policies or riders you'd recommend looking into? Thanks in advance!

Hey there! Congrats on the new Turbo Levo SL – awesome bike for hitting those trails! It's smart to think about dedicated insurance, especially with how limited homeowner's can be for eBikes, and off-road use often isn't covered.

Many of us have had good luck with Velosurance or Markel for specific eBike policies. They often offer better theft and accidental damage coverage, even for off-road incidents, which is key for a bike like yours. Definitely check their options for a "stated value" policy to ensure you're fully covered for the Levo's value, and see if they have options for accessories or even liability. Good luck!
